This Privacy Policy describes how Cranston Accounting Group, Inc. ("Cranston," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information that we collect through websites, applications, and other digital properties that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Service"), as well as through our sales, marketing, recruiting, support, and other business activities.

Cranston provides AI-enabled tax and accounting software for accounting firms and other businesses. The Service is designed for business customers and their representatives, not for personal, family, or household use.

Customer Data

This Privacy Policy does not apply to personal information that Cranston processes on behalf of a business customer as Customer Content, such as taxpayer records, tax documents, accounting records, financial account information, or other client information submitted to the Cranston platform. Cranston processes that information as a service provider or processor under its agreement with the business customer.

If your information was submitted to Cranston by an accounting firm, employer, or other Cranston customer, please direct privacy requests concerning that information to that customer. We will assist our customer with requests as required by applicable law and our agreement with the customer.

This Privacy Policy applies to information Cranston handles for its own business purposes, including information about website visitors, prospective customers, customer representatives, users, job applicants, and other people who interact directly with Cranston.

Personal Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Personal information you provide to us may include:

Contact and professional information, such as your name, work email address, phone number, job title, company, firm size, and business address.
Account information, such as your account identifier, profile details, authentication information, preferences, and the company with which your account is associated.
Sales and scheduling information, such as products of interest, demo requests, meeting details, and information you submit through a form or scheduling page.
Transaction information, such as the product or service purchased, billing contact, subscription status, transaction amount, and payment status. Payment card information is processed by our payment provider; we generally receive transaction details rather than complete payment-card numbers.
Communications, including messages, support requests, feedback, and other information you provide when communicating with us.
Job application information, such as your resume, work and education history, professional profiles, work authorization, and other information you submit in connection with a role at Cranston.
Other information you choose to provide, which we will handle as described in this Privacy Policy or as disclosed when it is collected.

Online activity information, such as pages or screens viewed, links and buttons clicked, navigation paths, referring page, access time, session duration, and interactions with forms or emails.

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service, maintain sessions, remember preferences, analyze usage, and measure the performance of our marketing.

Most browsers allow you to remove or reject cookies through browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect Service functionality.

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is not a common industry standard for responding to those signals, we do not currently respond to them.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.

Customer Content is retained and deleted according to the agreement between Cranston and the applicable business customer.

Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Account Information

You may review or update certain account information through the Service or by contacting us.

Marketing Communications

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email. We may continue to send non-marketing messages, such as transaction, security, support, or account notices.

Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, such as rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you. To submit a request, email privacy@cranston.ai. Please describe your request and the email address or account involved. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority.

If your request concerns Customer Content submitted by a Cranston customer, please contact that customer directly.

Security

We use technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Other Sites and Services

The Service may link to websites, applications, or services operated by others. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the Effective Date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
